Dampier appeared in 51 games last season for Miami, averaging 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
The 36-year-old Mississippi State product was selected by Indiana with the 10th overall pick of the 1996 draft and has averaged 7.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 972 games over 15 seasons with the Pacers, Warriors, Mavericks and Heat.
